Rico Grand Concert Select Reeds

Hi All!

I have been using Vandoren Traditional reeds for a while now and I am just not satisfied with the consistency of them. The good ones are great but the last box I bought had only three really good reeds in it.

I am thinking about trying Rico Grand Concert Select reeds. I was just wondering if anyone uses these reeds and what are your thoughts on them. Thanks!

Brian -

Vandoren Black Masters seem to me to be more consistent than the Tranditionals. You should give them at least a one-box try.

I know what you mean about Vandorens not being consistent. It's even worse in the V12's because of the new "flat tip". Personally I found the thick blanks to be better in grand concert and try the evolution while you are at it
