 Grabner mouthpieces

I recently won a Grabner cocus wood mouthpiece on eBay. Just got it yesterday and have played it a little and am really impressed. It's a beautiful mouthpiece to look at and has a beautiful tone as well. The wood is a redish color (like Rosewood). It's nicely finished.

I don't know what he usually charges for these, but they're on a Zinner blank--an excellent blank. Might be a good alternative to some of the more expensive, better known makers.

He's a sponsor. If you're looking for a great custom mouthpiece you might include him in your list. I'm waiting for him to make a batch of barrels so I can get one of those to try.

His CXBB Bass Clarinet mpc's are also excellent.

I looked for his ad on the sponsor pages and couldn't find him listed. What is the name of his company?

Walter Grabner's website is at <ClarinetXpress>
I've got his CXBB for my new Buffet Prestige Bass. It's wonderful. A friend also has his "doctored" Selmer CXBS and is very impressed. His Bb mouthpieces have also gone down very well with my clarinet contacts here in Scotland.

What other mouthpieces currently on the market would you say they are similar/comparable to? If anyone could give a few comparisons, or even information such as, "I like Grabner, Joe Blow, and Jane Doe mouthpieces" that would give me a good idea of whether they'd work for me.

Walter's mouthpieces might be compared, in price and quality, to Roger Garrett's (also a Sneezy sponsor --- coincidence or inevitability???)

Roger is not and never has been a sponsor.

Geez, I'm not familiar to Roger Garrett's mouthpieces. I am familiar with some of the following mouthpieces: Vandoren M13, M13 Lyre, M14, M15, Hawkins, Greg Smith, Eddie Daniels, Hite, Pyne, Fobes, Scott. Can anyone make any comparisions between any of these and Grabner's mouthpieces?
