I am trying to find the music for Leonardo Velasquez' Variaciones for Clarinet and Piano and also a quartet by the same composer for clarinet, violin, cello and piano. Does anyone know the publishers or where this music might be avialble. Any other suggestions for chamber music including clarinet in any combination of instruments by Mexican composers would be most welcome. If you know the publisher of the piece please let me know! Thanks.

I performed a piece by Carlos Chavez, probably 25 years ago or so, called 'Soli,' It is scored for oboe, clarinet, bassoon and trumpet. I believe it was published by Boosey, but it has been a while.
It's different, for sure, but quite representative of Chavez's music. A good piece.

The Velasquez is published by Ediciones Mexicanas de Musica. Their agent in the US is Peer or Southern Music. I also have a small collection of Mexican chamber music with clarinet that I am willing to share. Email me for more info.
