Noblet 45 ??

I have a few clarinets from WW&BW for trials, and I'm leaning towards the Noblet 45. Also in the mix are two E-11s and my wife's R-13 for comparison. (I'd love to have my own, but for doubling, it's not to be - $$)

While the E-11s (from Germany) are fine, the larger bore of the 45 (from France), combined with my John Pierce jazz mpc. sounds 'fuller', and I could probably hold my own against the brass sections a bit better.

I've got a re-conditioned 45 coming in a few days, costing about $280.00 less than the new one - $575.00 v $849.00. The old one is maybe 15 or 20 years old.

Any comments, quirks or bad habits I might look for in this horn before deciding on one or the other???

I, also, am interested in a Noblet 45 Vs some of the other Buffet, Selmer, or Lablanc options, so all the opinions available would be appreciated.

i loved my noblet 45, and played on it for years. the only problems that i had were: some of the throat tones were very fuzzy no matter what i did, and i had to adjust certain notes for intonation.
i used a vandoren b45 mtpc with it.
other than that, i had a great time with it. as you, i also played it in a big band jazz group and it worked out pretty well. (tenor sax is my second instrument)
since then, i purchased a yamaha cs in which i adore. it has very consistent pitch throughout all registers of the clarinet, and has a pure solid sound. i love playing the poulenc clarinet sonatas with it! since you are doubling on clarinet, though, the noblet 45 would probably work out very well.

The Noblet 45 has a very nice tone. I've recommended them to several doublers who have had excellent results with them.
