This is a follow-up. Finally found time to play with these. Got 75 off e-Bay, 25 each of 1's, 2' and 3's. Took two out of each box. Soaked them for 1 hour.
Started with the 1's. Used three separate mouthpieces and setups with Peter Spriggs, Rovner Dark-1 and Eddie Daniels Rover--Mpc's one "Jazz" by Dave S.., one reface by Dave S.., and one Grabner CXBB. Both very light clear tone and held tone up into the upper register. Did not force Altissimo tones. Took a reed clipper and trimmed about 1/8th off each tip. Quite satisfied with results. The Dave S.. Jazz setup with the Eddie Daniels Rovner really spoke. Let them rest 'til another day to see if same results.
Did the same with the 2's, also good out of the box (remember these were listed as "very old" so there must have been higher standards than the "one per box" some Vandoren buyers quote) but more responsive with a slight trim.
Tried it with the 3's and they are a little stiff for me. Will have to consider whether to use the reed knife on them or just "grow into them". Figure I saved many bucks, even buying the reed-trimmer and reed knife from Discount Reeds, one of Sneezy's sponsors. Best thought, I had a ball doing this and am well pleased with my experiment.
If you see any more of these you might try them.

Don't know. Did a search on the Sneezy archives, on the BB and on the Yahoo Bass Clarinet group and could not find any references to the company. Maybe some "wizard" like diz or GBK has that info tucked away someplace. All I know is that I lucked out (so far).
