To GBK (Clarinetfest)

Hey GBK!

I noticed in your reply to the Pete Fountain reed post that the Clarinetfest was in New Orleans last summer. Darn! I live in Louisiana and had no idea there was such a thing and that it was being held in New Orleans.

My question is do you know when and where the next Clarinetfest will be held? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Clarinetfest is in Stockholm, Sweden July 2-6 this year. Next year it is in Salt Lake City. Check www.clarinet.org for a link to clarinet fest.

Go to http://www.clarinetfest.org and it'll take to to this year's ClarinetFest site (Stockholm, Sweden). Next year will be Salt Lake City, Utah.

There's another nice annual festival in Oklahoma http://www.ouclarinetsymposium.org and another in California (West Coast Clarinet Congress in late May - email Miles Ishigaki at milesi@csufresno.edu.

Yes...Dave Etheridge (my former teacher) runs a great festival at the University of Oklahoma...GBK
