 help with history?

hi there! was just writing to ask if anyone could help me find out more about the age and history of my instrument. i have been all over the web and am going nuts because i cannot find out anything. it is a selmer (paris) clarinet with serial number K46XX, all the stuff on the web starts at L, so does that just mean that mine is a year younger than that? any advice would be much appreciated as my fingers hurt and my brain is dripping out of my ear! cheers!

I had a Selmer clarinet, K52xx which the previous owner dated to 1930. So, from that you can suppose that your clarinet is c. 1930, perhaps, 1929.

Mo - what condition is this Selmer in? Sounds like, if it's got no cracks, that it might be a very nice instrument. Do you have a photo of it we could see? thanks
