It seems that the people in the US isn't very familiar with the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra?
It's an excellent orchestra.

You should hear that ensemble's recording of Armenian Dances (set I)! Great stuff and awesome clarinetists to boot!

I have that recording. It's great. Also on the same recording, I believe, is Suite of Old American Dances which has some fabulous clarinet parts in it.

I've heard some of their stuff played on KRTS here in the Houston area and it was great! They play an arrangement of The National Emblem March that I would like to get ahold of. If they ever go on tour and come to this neck of the woods, I WILL play hooky from work if necessary and go see them.

I have heard a number of items by this wind band including James Barnes Appalachian Overture and they are all great well worth listening to
