I ordered a cover for my double Buffet case of the attache type from the Woodwind and Brasswind. I got the cover today and it doesn’t fit at all! My case is about 16 and a half inches long, a little less than 13 inches high and about 4 inches thick. The case cover I received, labeled “Buffet Double Attache Case Cover,” is 16 ¾ inches long, 11 5/8 inches high and 4 ¼ inches thick- way too short! Has the case been redesigned recently (mine’s kind of old) or did I get the wrong thing? Is this cover mislabeled? They're out of stock so I can't send this one back and get a different one (or at least I wouldn't get a different one for quite a while, they say).
Arrrgg. The salesperson on the phone insisted that it should fit but it really doesn’t. He offered an Altieri case cover but it's a bit over my budget at $110.00. Would a Cavallaro case cover for this case work or would it be too small also? Does it look any different?
Thanks,
Micaela

Practacly the same thing happened to me. I ordered a case cover from the WW&BW for my clarinet case, (double case) and was sent one for an A clarinet single case. Not realizing it I tried my hardest to get it to fit before I understood the delema. They probably sent the wrong cover. The best bet is to sent it back and wait for the new shipments.

Micaela, ha ha! If you get this message, I know of a very reliable retailer and repairsmen that I did my senior project with. I bought my A clarinet from him. He has case covers that would fit your case. Email me if you want his number.

You know, I wonder about those salespeople at WW&BW. I called to order some reeds, and she asked me if I wanted them for the "Bee-Bee" clarinet.
