Congratulations to the Chicago Symphony Orhestra and their Grammy Award for best Orchestral Performance, "Boulez Conducts Varese (Ameriques; Arcana; Deserts; Ionisation)," Pierre Boulez, conducting. We all know, of course, that the entire CSO is built around their magnificent clarinet section, without whose efforts and guidence, this award would not have been possible. So, "WAY TO GO," CSO clarinets, the Grammy is yours and you are the greatest--and the rest of your supporting players probably deserve some measure of credit, also. Good (Great) Clarineting!!!!!!!!

Their brass section is internationally famous too. There are many excellent brass/wind repairpersons/shops/manufacturers around there. I heard Conn is getting back their quality of before 1967. CSO's board is so decisive to select only those players they need as typically shown in their long hesitance to select the principal trumpet after Adolf Herseth. So, not only CSO but also Chicago as a whole may be making such a good musical environment.
