Hi - just curious - but has the Lazarus method fallen from favour, or do you "teachers" out there still use it?
I remember when I first started playing the clarinet, Lazarus Book I was a staple, I seem to remember "getting through it" in about two years or so - and I loved it, all those duets with your teacher *sigh* - they were the good old days.

In Japan teachers ordinarily use Klose method books to teach people who intend to enter music high school or college. Not Lazarus or Langenus. Sometimes teachers who are fond of German clarinet use Rudolf Jettel method books. (But to me these books look like a torture literally.)
What became of Leon Russhianof(spell?) method book re-publishing? It was requested by several people on this BBS once.
