I listened to a broadcast, it was the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and clarinetist Alexander Anissimov: he played the clarinet concerto of Wilson - unfortunately I missed the commentary before the work started and, hence, the identity of the composer, anyone got any insight?
thanks - diz, sydney

diz...The only Alexandr Anissimov that I am familiar with is a conductor by that name, and he has actually conducted the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. He has done a fair amount of recording with them. Mostly works by Glazunov and Rachmaninoff.
You have got my curiosity though about the "Wilson" (sp?) Concerto...GBK
