elastic or not?? That is the question

Lately i've been experiencing pain in my right wrist after practicing clarinet. I not only have to practice Bb daily, but bass, bassoon and piano as well. I want to buy a neckstrap so I can practice longer, but am not sure whether to get one that is elastic or not. The elastic might allow for more motion but I still want it to take most of the weight off of my wrist. Which would work better?

The BG elastic neckstrap takes most of the strain, and allows freedom of movement when wanted. I thought the fixed one was too constraining. You should go to a store and try both.
