Was wondering what techniques you use to handle the extremely fast triplet passages in the beginning of Strauss' Don Juan. Not Particularly good at double tonguing, but orchestra is playing the piece in about a month. Any suggestions? THanks!

michael...The fast triplets are not just at the beginning. The same figures are also at letter H and letter W.
The bad news: it is usually very fast
The good news: you've got lots of company as the figure is throughout the orchestra...GBK

Intrigued by the length of time since the posting of Ken's link, above, I embarked on an attempt to see how far back these things are stored, but realised I don't have the time or patience to get to the end of my search.
Can you tell us Mark, how long ago was the first posting you can re-access? What is the oldest message to be replied to?
It seems to me that every query could be answered with a link to some previous discussion, but surely this gets away from the point of this forum.
It would be possible to look back to almost any topic to get a variety of responses but if we just did that you might as well close down the Bulletin Board except as an archive for research. Wouldn't that be much less fun?
