I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on the numbering system for the old Ann Arbor, Chicago and Cicero Kaspar mouthpieces, as well as what these numbers correlate too (ie, open/close). Sorry if this is an in-depth question, however I really can't find any information on the complete numbering system used for all three. Thanks for the help!

She's a violinist, and has her own string issues.
That's a whole different world...GBK

the main problem I have with the numbering system seems to be "anomolies" if you will. For example, this article states that
"The "Ann Arbor" Kaspars range from 1 - 4 . (I have never seen anything larger than 4, but they might exist.)"
whereas the ann arbor kaspars which I have seen, range from numbers 108-115 on the side. I have never seen an ann arbor kaspar with a simple 1-4 on the side. Does anyone have any information regarding these "mysterious" 108-115 numbers?
Do these signify that the mouthpiece has a 1.08-1.15 tip opening or does it mean that the mouthpiece is actually an 8-15 like a cicero? Mind you, these are ann arbor kaspars that I am referring to. Thanks, and please help!

hey, IF the 108-115 was refering to measurements in millimetres it would be a great triumph for the rest of the world to know that Kaspar was on our side. The continued use of Imperial measurements (inches, miles etc) in the US is a real nuisance for the rest of us... when WILL you guys see the light? (an internet site currently under construction offers mouthpiece tip openings in....... thousands of an INCH, sooooo out with the calculator i guess!)
