Those of us living in the antipodean region (oz) might care to listen to Classic FM tonight - West Australian Symphony is performing Daphnis et Chloe (Suite No 2) amongst other things. Listen for the incredible woodwind writing.

Yes I attended those concerts by the W.A.S.O. while in Perth in March 2001. The woodwind playing was distinguished - particualry that of the clarinet section - Allan Meyer Principal, Lorna Cook, 2nd/Eb, and Alex Miller Bass Cl. All beautiful players and consumate professionals. Very warm and kind group of individuals too!
