This sunday, Feb 10 at UMKC Conservatory in Kansas City Missouri, the Midwest Clarient Society is having their annual Luyben Memorial Concert, with a mass clarinet choir.
The event begins with a rehearsal from 3-5, a dinner break and then the concert at 7:30. Rehearsal and performance take place in White Recital Hall onthe UMKC campus. Dress in your "Suday Clothes" for the concert.
You need not be amember of the Midwest Clarinet Society to participate, however you are welcomed to join at the time of the rehearsal.
I welcome any clarinetist in the Kansas City area to come and join in, or at least come and hear the concert.
The Robert L. and Marie Meiler Luyben Scholarship was
established in 1992 by the family and friends of the
Luyben's Music to create an endowed scholarship for
undergraduate students studying music education or
performance at the Conservatory. Our thanks for your
support of this worthy endeavor. If you wish to make
a donation, you may do so at the MCS table in the
foyer either before or after the concert.
Hope to see you all there!!
