Sounds like fun, Bob. When you had mentioned this before, I really considered meeting up with some Sneezy pals out there but since I'm in the Chicago area, I've decided to go to the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp adult band camp in Michigan. The really nice thing about it is that this year they're splitting the adult band camps into Grade 2 - 3 music, Grade 3 - 4 music and then Grade 5 -6 music. That way, us "beginners" won't frustrate the heck out of the semi-pros. Actually, I'm seriously considering signing up for 2 sessions, a week apart. We'll have to see how my husband and kids go for it (not even considering my boss yet).

The Blue Lake camps run from Wednesday through Saturday (4 days for $140). The $140 includes meals but you're on your own for lodging, at least this year. (They're building lodging for adults and I guess it'll be available next summer). I'm so excited about going somewhere and just being able to practice and play all day and into the evening. And the best part is that nobody will know me. Everybody knows me in our community band and I'm pretty timid in my playing with all of them. So I think this'll do me a world of good.

For more info, feel free to e-mail me.

Good luck, Bob. I'll be too busy playing locally to make any summer camps, but I would like to "plug" my favorite summer camp (where I taught) one more time at http://internationalmusiccamp.com Located on the border between N. Dakota and Manitoba. Good Clarineting!!!!!!!

Jill:
I'm sure you are closer to Pa. then I am. Ca. to Pa. has to be further then where ever you live.
