Does anyone know who got the job? The audition was last week I think.

Allan Kolsky of the Louisiana Philharmonic got the job. He's an excellent player, and a nice person, as well.

Thanks, Chris.
I met him not long ago, and I 'd have to agree with you.

Yeah, I'm always pleased when the 'trickle down effect' of job openings happens. I think that the principal in Syracuse got the SF opera job, which left Syracuse open, so now Louisiana should have an opening...perhaps someone with a per service regional orchestra job will get the Louisiana job, so that'll be another opening. So many opportunities. (OK, not really, but more than there could be!)

Always keep your ear to the ground: you never know wen you'll learn of an opening through the grapevine, or by simply figuring things out!
