Does anyone know of any groups in the SE Mass or RI area looking for clarinetists? I'm not a professional, but I love to play. I just don't have as many opportunities now that I've graduated from college. I'm playing in one group that meets once a week now, but I'd love to have some other experiences. I have checked out the list on Sneezy of people looking for players. I'm hoping someone out there knows of something not listed there. Thanks all!

Ask at a local music store. They should have a good idea of whats going on. At least they should be able to put you in touch with people who do know about playing groups near you.
I'm told that the music stores love the community bands and orchestras - adults with money to buy new instruments (not a parent looking to buy a cheap beginner clarinet, but an adult who thinks the most expensive clarinet is cheap when compared to a new bass boat).

Okay, I'll be the first to ask: What key is the bass boat in?

You might also check with city park and recreation departments. Sometimes community bands are set up as one of their programs.
