Hi all, I should start by noting that I've never so much as seen a wind instrument in real life, so this is purley in the quest of knowledge, but can anyone recomend a resource for the design of the clarinet as an instrument? Things like tuning, great performances in history, component names, technique explanations, anything like that?
Oh, and this is my first post here, too. Go Me!

Hi Onen,
I would suggest finding recordings by Harold Wright and Robert Marcellus for good performance recordings.
My 2 cents...

Try to get a recording of the German clarinetist, Sabine Meyer.
Perhaps "Concertino" by Weber.
Also Weber's "Clarinet Cocertos ,#1 and#2".
Finally, Mozart's "Clarinet Concerto".
