I'm starting up a wind quintet in the autumn and need some ideas about what sort of material to begin with!
A broad repetoire is necessary but what?! so many choices.

please give me some ideas
thanks
sarah

Check Andy Brandt's extensive list, with many comments for performance, at http://www.ms.uky.edu/~moses/doublereed/dr.lists/ww5_brandt.html. The Sneezy composition database makes used of his work (he & I trade composition discoveries).

nielsen, poulenc (w/ piano) beethoven, hindemith, barber, fine, danzi if you like that style, and there's a lot of new music out there, check around or try to listen to some recordings to see what strikes you.
