RE: bore size...MPC requirements SILVER KING

Apparently not : The bore might be somewhat standard within the Silver King line, or maybe not, but I don't know of any standard for all metal clarinets. As I mentioned in a previous response, if you can measure, or ask someone to measure for you (a machinist friend, perhaps), the diameter (inside, outside), width of cork groove if it's outside of the instrument or receiver section the barrel cork would fit in if the cork is supposed to be on the barrel, we'd be halfway to finding a barrel for you. If you could provide these dimensions, it would be a help. Not many of us here want to go rumaging around the 'boneyards' looking for 'a metal barrel'. That will almost surely be a futile search. There were dozens of different sizes and shapes of metal clarinet barrels. There are only three solutions I know of. You find a Silver King barrel that fits your model, you find something close and modify it to fit your horn, you start from scratch and make your own 'customized' one. Metal clarinets used the same kinds of mouthpieces modern wood or plastic/composition instruments use. You need to find one that works well for you on your clarinet.
