I'm having problems finding thsi book I need for my music class in high school. It is called Etudes by Klose. It was supposed to be some famous clarinet book and everywhere I have looked I have come up short. I don't know where to turn next but I need this book as soon as possible or I will not be able to take this course again. If someone could help me locate a site that sells this book or give me a # of a music place that sells or has or can get this book I would be very appreciative. You can e-mail me my address is on here. Thank you so much. It is really important.
One more thing. Can anyone recommend some good clarinet pieces (contrasring solos) to play for my college audtion. I just some that are not too hard but not too easy and are like grade 4 or above. Thank you again.

You are probably looking for the Klose Complete Method Book (which happens to contain the etudes of course).
Try amazon.com, sheetmusic.com, jwpepper.com
If you have any half-way decent band music stores nearby, they really ought to have it in stock but if you ask for Etudes by Klose they won't be able to find it as they will be looking for the wrong thing.

Klosé wrote severl books of etudes for clarinet. The book included in the Celebrated Method is the 20 Characteristic Studies. There are also "Studies in Style and Technic", 20 Studies, 20 Technical Studies, 30 Etudes and 50 Etudes and Exercises, as well as a couple books of daily routine exercises and scale drillings... now youjust have to figure out which one it is you are looking for and i'm sure any store could get it for you.. i buy all my music direct either from Luyben, Jeanné, or Southern Music...
