Selmer mouthpiece - table B*/C

I bought a Selmer series 9 from eBay at $175 last week. It's in great condition. I just had to replace 3 pads. It plays wonderfully. I found one mouthpiece in the case. It is a Selmer has "Table B*/C" on the table. It sounds as good as my custom mpcs. What kind of mpc is this? What's the difference between modern Selmer mpcs and this vintage? Thanks in advance.

The Selmer mouthpieces with the word "Table" on them date, I think, from the late 1940s or early 50s. The Series 9 came out in the late 1950s, so the mouthpiece is earlier. The Table mouthpieces are made from good quality rubber and, if they're not too badly worn, they can be refaced into excellent players. David Hite, a Sneezy sponsor, is well known for doing this. The B* and C facings are fairly close, so there should be plenty of room to work.

This mpc has Selmer escutcheon set into the rubber in the back, just above the tenon and is in a great condition. I read two posts.

Yah! I feel guilty. LOL
Two years ago, I bought a brand new Selmer Omega at $155. Hewwww!
Just once in a while.
