My friend recently got a clarinet, and the only markings she can find on it are Kenosha, Wis u.s.a, and 857908 7217. Does anyone have any idea what brand/model this is?

Kenosha, Wisconsin is the home of the G Leblanc company.

This is almost certainly a Leblanc Vito. Are there any what appear to be decorative marks on it? Some years they put on what appears to be a lopsided lyre but is actually a decorative way of putting Vito on it.
The Leblanc Vito, if in good condition, is a fine beginner grade instrument.

Hold it up to the light and see if you can make out a posible rectagle area where and old decal may have been on the bell, lower joint, and barrel. Some of the older Bundys had a decal that faded or just came off but left a faint mark where that decal was.

However, Bundys were NOT made in Kenosha. Only Leblanc products come from Kenosha. To the best of my knowledge, Leblanc did not use decals. Logos, etc. were inscribed in the material of the instrument.

Yes, I have seen and repaired several "Kenoshas", they are definitely LeBlanc-Vito cls, likely the lowest price models of a large line of good-to-excellent cls. Don
