What do you well-equipped symphony/chamber players do for barrels? Assuming a pair of same-make Bb/A clarinets (e.g., a couple of R-13s, which is what I have), what lengths (sufficient to cover ordinary tuning exigencies) & brands (Chadash, Moennig, etc.) of barrels would you never leave home without?

well, I'm not a "well-equipped symphony/chamber player". I'm Just a student. But I would never leave home without my Click Barrel. It works great, my throat notes sound clearer and tuning is A LOT easier(plus, it didn't cost much).

My regular equipment is: Chadash: 64. 65, 66,
Additional: Moennig: 64, 65, 66 and Pyne: 64, 65, 66
All depending on wich mouthpiece I use.

My mouthpiece tunes at A440 so I opt for a 65mm barrell to give myself room to tune a little sharp if I needed. Same with the A clarinet. Sometimes I just switch the barrell and mouthpiece together if I have a fast horn change. Basically because I'm paranoid of the ligature slipping. My wife has a beautiful Muncy barrell. I play on a Fobes barrell. They are similar in resistance.
