HI all!
I am thinking about competing in the solo fest at all state in April. Problem is, most of the solos have to have accompaniment (sp?) In order for me to do that, I would have to find somone who can accompany me there (I guess they'd have to make all state too). It's not that I don't want to have an accompanied solo, It's just that I don't know if I will be able to. Can someone tell me some good solos that aren't entirely too difficult for a self-taught, 4-year clarinetist to learn by April and where I can find the music and maybe recordings of them? I would just ask about certan ones, but I kinda lost m list.
Thanks!

Might I suggest looking at www.8notes.com in their clainet section, they have a few songs that don't need a however you spell it. Me and my friend might do the Pavane that they have, it sounds really cool. Have fun and good luck

Read the requirements very carefully. I know that in Michigan the S & E pieces are all acoompanied, and there must be an accompanist, not a tape or other recording.
One of my kids makes money during S & E every year accompanying - perhaps you can find a fellow student to accompany.
