If you looked into a clarinet or barrel that has a polycylindrical bore you see the difrence froma regular barrel or clarinet? could you see the little stair step like reductions?ALSO: What reed strength should I use for a Fobes Nova mouthpiece i tried a four and it was too hard so i think i'll get a 3 and a 3.5 and try to see which plays best. Thanks in advance!!-----------------------------------------------------Corey

I don't think you can see the transitions. It's only fractions of a millimeter and tapered between the zones. I can't help you with the reed question, but you've got the right idea . . . try'em until you find one you like.
