I own a Selmer10G which I keep in the case it came with. The case isn't all that roomy, as it can hardly handle the vandoren reedholder and 2 mouthpieces that I keep in it. I keep my case in an insulated Olathe bag year-round. I'm looking to buy a roomier case and perhaps a new insulated bag (if the case isn't enough insulation). I'll be headed off to college next year (Music Ed), so I'm not looking to spend a huge amount of money, but I'd like to get something that will at least last me the next 4 years. Also, if you know of any good, compact tuners, or any other accessories I'll need for the next few years that I can milk out of my parents for christmas, let me know.
Thanks :-D

The Korg CA-20 is a small, effective and very cheap tuner. Also, a small screwdriver is always a good idea. You could get a bigger bag to keep your current case in with room for other things. I have a Pro-Tec bag that I use when I don't need my A clarinet, it has plenty of room and looks nice (when my cat hasn't slept on it) but isn't very insulated.

the screwdriver u can get at a pharmacy for 99 cents in their eyeglass repair kits
the korg tuner is great. u can get it for around $16-20
a new computer from dell or gateway...don't get any other "big brands" like compaq or packard bell because they SUCK!!! They'll give you a million problems. you can also buy computers from small unknown companies. they are pretty well-built.

I wish I'd get a computer for Christmas. Not going to happen though.
I would definatly get a tuner and metronome. I have heard good things about Dr. Beats. Boxes of reeds would be a nice stocking stuffer.

How about a clarinet peg stand? Make sure the new bag is big enough for a double case because you will probably need an A clarinet in college.
Reeds are always good of course and maybe a reed case.
How's the mouthpiece? Maybe a new Greg Smith or similar might be cool.

The Korg tuner is excellent and you can get a pick-up that plugs into the side of it at one end and clips onto the clarinet bell at the other with a plastic, clothes-pin type attachment.
With the pick-up attachment you can tune anywhere, even a noisy environment that would, otherwise, interfere with your tuning. It's about another $10.00.
Be careful how you use the screw driver. You can do much towards making your instrument temporarily unplayable with one of those.
Wittner, a German company, makes a "Taktell Super-Mini" metronome. Its about 4" tall, 2" wide and 1" deep. Perfect for a carry bag and, although I want to think I paid about $10.00 for it, I would say it's definitely under $20.00. (I think I may have bought a store demo somewhat cheaper.)
