 Yamaha CX

I´ve been searching Yamaha´s homepage but can´t find any information about the CX model. Is it a professional model? How does it compare to Buffets professional clarinets (R13,RC)? I have the chance to buy a used one in good shape (from a store selling woodwind instruments) for about 1000 dollars. Is that a decent price?

I currently own a CX and I can vouch for it's quality. It is indeed a professional level clarinet: Yamaha's top of the line I believe. Although I have never played an R13 I think it is safe to say that they are on the same level. The CX has a very nice warm sound. I guess the best advice I cn give you is to go tothe music store and test play a few models and see what you like. It's largly personel preferrence and how the clarinet suits you.
