I hear from alot of people that the "ultimate" setup is to have a Greg Smith mouthpiece with a Chadash barrel.
What type of barrel would you use with a Buffet greenline?
Would mixing the grenadilla wood barrel with a wood chip composite upper joint be anathema: akin to mixing plaids?
Guy Chadash doesn't make greenline barrels.
Does Buffet make greenline barrels of different lengths?
Also does Buffet have plans to make a greenline Bass?
Thanks,
Josh

The Chadash barrel would work perfectly with the greenline clarinet. I play a greenline R-13 and use a standard Buffet Moennig taper barrel with a Greg Smith mouthpiece. There is no conflict whatsoever with the two materials.

Josh --
You asked: "Would mixing the granadilla wood barrel with a wood chip composite upper joint be anathema: akin to mixing plaids?"
No, but the Chadash barrel might think it was above the Greenline clarinet. :-)
