Less than a week ago, my neighbour showed me a Selmer Albert System clarinet. How much might this be worth?

Two factors to consider would be condition and if it is high or low pitch. (low pitch is more or less A=440)

The following is taken from the Wichita Band company page as an example of what someone is charging for these types of instruments and does not represent an endorsement of the seller or the price. Presented for informational purposes only.
"A matched set of clarinets by Henri Selmer, each joint marked "H.Selmer a Paris", both with identical "Albert system" keywork, 13 keys/4 rings, the bodies of grenadilla. The A clarinet is without damage, the Bb with pinned crack to the top joint. Mouthpieces and case are original. Both play well, but at HIGH PITCH. Bb #2702, A #2703....the set. $950 "
On eBay I'd expect a Selmer Albert to go for anywhere from 150-300 depending on pitch and condition.

Every Selmer has a serial number. That will help in
determining the value. Also, is it a 4,5 or 6 ring
clarinet.
I have a 1936 "L" series Selmer Albert, and have someone
looking for another.
If you can e-mail me direct, can help you determine what
you might have. A measurement of the assembled clarinet,
less the mouthpiece, will tell if it's low or high pitch.

Maybe Wichita will get $950, but I know that they are
willing to bargain. Also, that pair may represent $200 to $300 worth of repair. I would be very surprised if any high pitch horn (so noted) went for $150 unless it was very collectible. Low pitch, yes, $150 to $200.

I agree with Jim, high pitch horns don't go for much money. And I think that Wichita's prices are on the high side, there doesn't seem to be much turn over on the inventory from month to month.
