Does anyone know what these terms mean? I know this isn't exactly clarinet related but I forgot/can't find these terms anywhere and they're in some music I'm playing. They are valse vacillant, scherzando, and staccatissimo. Thanks.

Valse vacillant- a waltz with some hesitation
Scherzando - playful / lively
Staccatissimo - very short note / as short as possible /detached

Al - A good music dictionary should be in everyone's personal library. Among the choices, The Harvard Dictionary of Music (Apel) is a good one...GBK

I have the Harvard Concise Dictionary of Music, compiled by Don Michael Randel, and boy is that thing detailed. Pretty much anything you can imagine about music is in it. And it's only about 6x9 inches and 575 pages.
