I'm considering purchasing one of these 2 mouthpieces and I'd like to know from user experience which mouthpiece you have had better experience with. I'm a student player and my budget is approx $100. The Pyne is $95 and the Bay is $100 so the price is the same. Any help would be appreciated.

If you purchase from someone that gives a trial period, like International Musical Suppliers, you can get both and decide from actual play-testing which one you like better. I highly recommend purchasing from a seller who will give you a guaranteed return option.
I've owned Pynes and Bays and they're both very good mouthpieces--especially for a serious student. I've never owned the Sinfonia or the Equalizer, but have had people tell me they liked the Equalizer.
IMS has an 800 number and they can help you with your selection because their people are musicians. Try 800-762-1116.
Woodwind and Brasswind will let you return their mouthpieces, also. Go to www.wwandbw.com online and look there.
Actual hands-on experience is the only real way to know how a mouthpiece will work for each individual. If you try it and it helps you, buy it. If not, send it back.
