The Barre clarinet on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1490662782 is, as the seller says, a Normandy stencil. Normandy is the name Leblanc uses for its plastic student line. They're decent student instruments.

If you look at the photo, you'll see that the trill keys go in a straight line rather than having the pad cups set at an angle. If your friend's Barre clarinet has this style of keys, it's also a Normandy. Otherwise, it's made by some other manufacturer.
