Can a flute player use circulate breathing??? I know that we can use it on the clarinet because we can puff our cheeks. But we can't puff our cheeks while playing the flute, right??? So, can circulate breathing be used on flutes?????

Yes, but it's more difficult the less the resistance.
This post would have better belonged in the circular breathing thread rather than a new thread ssnce it starts off as an off-topic thread.

One does not need to puff cheeks to do circular breathing. If the tongue does its valve thing at the very back of the throat then the mouth/throat cavity can hold a lot of air compared with what the cheeks contain.

I read somewhere that James Galway, the renowned flautist does Circular breathing. In fact, he has been said to be able to perform Paganini's Moto perpetuo with it. However, he admitted that for his recording, the piece was completed by stitching up several 'takes'.

I've watched a famous flute player (forgotten his name) who claimed to have taken several circular breaths during about a minute of playing. There was no visible nor audible sound of that happening. He claimed to coincide the 'switchover' from mouth air to lungs air with his tonguing to disguise any irregularity in the smoothness of the tone.

The late Josef Marx told me Galway said the Moto Perpetuo on his first recording had over 100 splices in it.
It's a great stunt, but not much more.
