I recently acquired a Selmer Soloist USA from eBay. It looks like a brand new model and does not appear to be a signet model. The clarinet is wood, the keys look silver or silver-plated, and it comes with an adjustable thumbrest. The bell on the clarinet has a wonderful engraving below the Selmer Soloist USA logo.
I have placed a picture of the clarinet and bell on my website at:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mwbrand/sneezy.htm
My question is: what model is this and is it an advanced horn like the Signet Soloist of old? I looked on the Selmer web site but did not see any information on it.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I thought "Soloist" naming is for mouthpiece not for clarinet. They are adorned by many players especialy Saxophonists.

Michael, why don't you inquire on the Selmer website's clarinet section? That's the guy who'll know more about this instrument. I have bought and sold a number of the USA Omega models that are very similar to this instrument. Selmer's Paris clarinets are the preferred models, but these USAs can be good for beginner-intermediate players. I don't care for the "feel" of the keys.
