It would do no harm to any of us to learn to spell correctly. It can be an irritation to those who take the trouble, to see others communicating sloppily. Those who can't learn are naturally excused. Karel.

I fear that what the calculator did for my math skills, spell check has done for my spelling. My concern is with the misuse of homonyms, especially in this web crazy world "sight" and "site" though "your and "you're" and the 3 "theres" remain classics.

Spelling *is* important - if you do a search of the archives for 'embouchure', you won't find threads where it is incorrect.
