Another quick question-what is a good book of orchestral excerpts for clarinnet?

The basic book that has most standard orchestral repertoire excerpts is the Daniel Bonade book.
IMC has a series of 8 books full of standard and non-standard works. Most of the excerpts in the Bonade are also in the IMC books only spread over several volumes. Unfortunately, the IMC books are hard to come buy as they were out of print for a while due to the GATT treaty, but they are coming back into circulation one at a time. I think now the odd numbers and 2 are available easily.

books are ok to get you started, but the actual parts are the real source...checked over by an experienced orchestra clarinettist to correct for misprints....larry combs has a cd out of excerpts....

Daniel -
There was a substantial discussion of excerpt books a month or so back, all of which is worth reading. My contribution is at http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?id=2618
Best regards.
