We have obtained an Evette & Schaeffer Modele Buffet Crampon
Paris Clarinet. It has the number K11063 on two of the pieces.
It is a wooden model. My son is going to use it for high school band. Did we get him a decent model? It cost $200. Any info would be welcome.

I think these are great horns. The ones with the "K" serial number are generally recognized as their better model. Tons of discussion on this issue on this board if you do a search.
Good deal!

These are generally considered good instruments. However, since it is used, have a technician look it over for any needed repairs and adjustments. If it doesn't need much, this was a pretty good buy.

Good advice, Dee and Grover - I bought one, K3XXX I believe, at a garage sale. With minor repair/adjustment it was a very good one, quite similar to what R 13's I have seen/played, sold it to a good friend/beginner cl'ist, He likes it. Luck, Don

Great if it's for "indoor" school band activities.
Don't use it for marching band. It will get wet often and abused more.
