The Saint-Saens Sonata is a Grade 5 NYSSMA solo. The required movements are the first and fourth. The required edition is Durand.

The pronunciation is roughly: sahn - sohn

According to the July 2000 NYSSMA manual, it's a Level 6, play movements 1, 2 and 4, with any edition.

Maybe they've changed this for 2001- which manual are you looking at, GBK?

I'm positive they only change the NYSSMA manual every 4 years and there last manual is July 2000. So they wouldn't have changed the solos around. I'm pretty sure the Saint Saens Sonata is a level 6.
