Reed strength for Morgan RM-15 mouthpiece
Author: Andy

Hi all,

I've just bought a Morgan RM-15 mouthpiece. It sounded nice, warm sound, good projection and resembles the Vandoren M15. I'm not sure what reed strength matches this mouthpiece. I would greatly appreciate if anyone out there who has experience with the mouthpiece, could give me some advices. If I were to use Grand Concert Thick Blank reeds, what strength will be suitable for the Morgan RM 15?
Have anyone tried the Grand Concert Evolution reeds? How is it different from the Grand Concert Traditional and Thick Blank reeds?

Andy

When I'm using 3 1/2 Grand Concert Select Thick Blank ,it is too free blowing.
When I use size 4, the tone gets stuffy.....

I play a Morgan RM-10 and use a #4 blackmaster reed. It works for me!
