 Where is the problem?

Dear all senior,

I just bought the new RC PRESTIGE "A" Clarinet, that's not the green line model. There are really some of the pads need to adjust, just like pads above right hand first finger, it's too close. There is not very big problem. The big big problem are...

When I play the A6 (middle C is C4) loudly, the sound will "Crack", overblow to hight register, somethimes will make the "two tone" effect. When I play A6 softly, it's seen OK, but after I increase the speed of blowing air, A6 tone "Crack" again. When I play the loud C Major scale, it A6 tone "crack" immediately.

I just hope, there is the problem related to pads but wood. Anyone have any idea which parts got problem?

Thanks a lot!

I know where C4 is from the top of this page, but is the A above this an A4 or an A5, i.e. for which note in the BB convention does a number change to the next?

I assume you are talking about the A that is written just above the stave.
I expierenced this problem for a while but I had a technician undercut the third finger hole (the one that doesn't have any key work on top of it) just a little and all of a sudden the note was perfect and all my troubles were gone.
Just an idea. I actually have no prof. expierence in this field, I just blow the thing and can tell you when it isn't right!

Cheers,
Andy
