I don't think you can be taught perfect pitch. Maybe you mean relative pitch?

Filipe,

Albeit on voice and the trumpet, William Christopher Handy was said to have "perfect pitch."

He learned it by practicing with a teacher, matching his pitch with that of tuning forks and pitch pipes. I don't know how long it ttok him to become so proficient, but it was said he was so as a young man.

I don't know of any way you could learn it on your own, without some one to hear and guide you. Perhaps with a very good set of tuning forks and an excellent tuner.

Without a really good teacher who is absolutely concerned with pitch, it would be very difficult.

Do a search here on the BBoard for perfect pitch. There are a number of courses available that purport to teach perfect pitch with a good percentage actually learning perfect pitch (not just perfect relative pitch, but perfect absolute pitch).
