William:
I teach Jazz Band in College. One of my biggest problems is to help the students realize that there are different styles of Jazz Music out there. Maybe this will help awaken them!!
Thanks,

Re.: Do you let Clarients be in your jazz band ? !
Laur -- Some of the older arrangements called for Saxes to double on nearly everything - clarinet, flutes, etc. Check some of them out. Back in my younger days of playing it was not uncommon for me to have an insturment stand holder with as many as five different instruments there -- Alto Sax, Bari Sax, Flute, Clarinet and sometimes Bass Clarinet. Today you only use one generally -- what you come with. I guess we were more tallented back then, or the arrangers were more imaginative.
