Also interesting to review the Disneyauctioear's eBay Feedback file. It's private because it is terrible. It also shows you, IMO, how most eBay sellers are BETTER than many of their retail counterparts.

I didn't realize that feedback could be made private on eBay. What good is having/creating feedback from people if no one can view it ?????

Mark, iyou are right ... it's quite USELESS. However, Feedback is a part of the eBay system so the ONLY way it can be stopped is to "take is PRIVATE". Disny has a BAD feedback record. If it were anybody else, an indicidual, nobody would do business with them.

I couldn't disagree MORE. I think this is a GREAT shade of Green. It's quite brighT colored in comparision to the mustard/army/drab greens we have seen on OTHER clarinets. DSFDF

best,

It looks like a Christmas ornament!
It sould be hung from a tree, or maybe from a door or window.

I like the green myself. My old high school colors were green and white and that clarinet shade would have been a real hit in the band.

I find the color quite appealing myself, but my favorite color is green, so I may be biased. It would go well with my green dress, my green cloak, green car (my next car is going to hopefully be green). On the other hand, it's probably a low quality clarinet and only worth anything because it's in a movie.

My old high school colors were orange and black so my clarinet was always in synch with that :) Fortunately haven't seen any orange clarinets!

Most important reason to avoid a Disney clarinet:

regarding the feedback: It sounds like they have a lot of negative feedback, but I figured the totals and just 1.6% of their feedbacks out of over 14,000 are negative. I don't know about you, but I don't think I consistently please more than 2% of other people. Depending on the situation, the % can rise up towards 100% who are definitely not pleased with me.

John -

It's possible (and used to be fairly easy) to load your eBay feedback profile with your own messages or those of shills, praising you to the skies. While there are always a few nuts who complain about everything, a 1.6% negative feedback on eBay is *extremely* bad, and the fact that the seller has concealed it makes my impression much worse.

Best regards.

Ken Shaw

I think that is true. Take a look, though, at the eBay standard for things and you will hundreds of people who have hundreds of transaction without any negtve feedback at all! ZIP. No doubt somebody will try & explain that attribute away, but the truth is in spite of companies like Disney (with their 1 in 50 chance of leaving someone EXTREMELY unhappy), eBay Sellers do a great job of bending over backwards in mostg situations. mw

Ken and mw: I agree that something is wrong when the seller hides the feedback. I didn't know that could be done. When I went to an Ebay university seminar, they pointed out a volume seller who had around a 1% negative feedback and they said that wasn't bad considering the volume. On the other hand, I sell on Ebay and work hard to be honest, fast, and efficient and my -0- negatives out of 140 comments are worth something to me. I know that someday someone will complain, that is just the nature of doing business.

Anji, did you say you were BORED? Your posts are getting more difficult to read or make out.(I don't read anything that is typed in all caps, and I am starting to think thosts posts are easier to read/decipher than yours). I think you have a lot to offer. mw

I noticed the tenons are still black and the posts are also green. They most likely took a cheap Chineese horn and sprayed it with an automotive paint then reassembled it. A cheap horn from eBay and a can of spray paint from an autoparts store will be far cheaper.

NO, sorry that ain't spray paint !. It's a high-end lacquer job. I have one of these in a beautiful RED. It was played in a college marching band and has a very decent sound - certainly as good as any Buffet B-12 or Yamaha #20.

NO, it's not a Lark either. It may be a Mirage or a Jupiter, though.

Here is the Color Chart from L.A. Sax. You can take a look atg their Artist Page, too.

Is there any reason why the instrument can't be played?

Most automotive "touch-up" paint is laquer. If it is "high end" then it would most likely be a two part epoxy paint.
