A lovely piece of music. Do any of you "speck-a-lists" know of any clairnet transpositons, Bb or Bass for this beautiful piece of music?

you're referring to Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez for classical guitar, i asked about this piece here on the board many many months ago and i never found it however if you do please let me know. i heard a version for flugalhorn on the british movie "Brassed Off" I agree, it is gorgeous!

Having at one time been (just barely) able to play this piece, albeit badly:

Whilke it may be possible to transcribe this for the melody, there's a lot more going on with the guitar that makes it such a beautiful piece - ther's a lot of subtle interplay. Like a clarinet transcription of a violin piece that includes a lot of double stops, you have to think carefully about what it does to the music. Seldom does simplifying a work that has multiple lines enhance the music.

BTW - the Aranquez in "Concierto de Aranquez" is pronounced "Aranwheth".

It's truly a beautiful place and the strawberrys in summer are humongous and delicious.

The third part of the concert is for trumpet solo. A brass-band transposing of that can be heard in the film brassed off. Since this solo is written in Bes allready, it can easilly be used on clarinet. (My orchestra has played the piece (wind band version), so I should be able to retrace the publisher.
