Our shop charges $149 for a repad. That includes all new corks, replace necessary springs, etc. Prices differ in each region of the country. Call around some reputable shops in your area and get some price quotes. The summer repair season is starting so the sooner you get it in the earlier you'll get it back. Once the schools start sending in their summer repair the backlog gets quite long.

Take his words of advice to heart...and quickly. The band instrument "season" started in my area almost a month ago. Now, even if it were an emergency, I couldn't get even a minor adjustment done in less than 2 weeks from any of the local pro repair shops in town. They get swamped and stay that way from early May until late November.
A repad job price of $150 or so sounds like a decent bargain, especially if the quote of work involves all of the things listed in the previous posting. This is your basic or "standard" overhaul job, and I've heard of prices much higher than that for the same work for a clarinet.
