I have a big problem: when I play and take my first breath it last for four phrases but when I have to breath again I can't breath fast enough so I don't get the same amount of air as I did on my first breath. So after 8 phrases I start feeling choked, what can I do, what breathing exercises can I try. Thanks

What's probably happening is that you need to EXHALE.
At times, we get oxygen starved because we haven't expelled all of the air in our lungs. By then, it's carbon dioxide. That volume of air still left in the lungs has used up all of its oxygen. Then you take a breath on top of that "dead" air because you feel the need to breathe and don't get enough oxygen because of that voulme of CO2. With each breath, this problem compounds itself until you're literally starving for O2; thus the need to expel the volume of dead air before you take a breath.

Thanks for your advice.
So what I need to do is push out the air that is still left, or do I wait more to take another breath.
How can I push out the air that is left and take in new air fast enough, so that whatever I'm playing doesn't lose continuity.
Thanks, C.R.

Play louder? Change your setup?
The way I fixed it:
How do I put this... exhale faster but hold it in your mouth??
Like circular breathing, but not quite...
I'm not being much of a help.
